The small eggplants grow quickly, have a deep purple color, and firm, shiny skin. Water consumption is very high.

The main fruits grow quickly. Floral abortion is observed: new flowers fall off without forming fruit because the plant concentrates energy on 3 or 4 already formed eggplants.

The plants were already somewhat established from seed. The 3 most vigorous baby eggplants were then selected.

Germination began in pots of soil, then the roots were gently washed to remove soil. Light feeding was started to avoid scalding during the acclimation period.

The fruits stop growing, become firm, and reach their final color. The ideal harvest time is when the skin is still shiny; if it becomes dull or yellowish, it's past its prime. Happy with my baby eggplants :D
