The gamble paid off. With the arugula out of the way and all the light to themselves, the radishes responded: their roots swelled noticeably in recent days and reached a respectable size.

The intense red of the bulbs is unmistakable, some already overflowing their lateral pods.

They weren't the stars of the season, but they earned their place in the harvest.

End of season, positive results for both species.

The moment arrived: all the arugula was harvested at once. The plants had reached their peak, and the outer leaves had been ready for cutting for several days.

The radishes, which had grown in the shade of the arugula throughout their entire cycle, will remain in the grow tent for a few more days.

The idea is to see if, with all the light to themselves, they can gain a little more volume before the final harvest.

Explosive growth! I picked a few arugula leaves to taste them, and they're really delicious!

The EC was lowered to 1400 Β΅S/cm to soften the nutrient solution for harvest.

The tank is marked as full, but it's only half full... it's a problem with the equipment.

The canopy is dense and compact, with large, overlapping leaves that spread out in all directions.

White mycelium appeared at the base of one of the pods. HydroScan analysis indicates it is a beneficial fungus, possibly Trichoderma.

The EC was lowered to 1400 Β΅S/cm, a fine-tuning to avoid overloading the solution. The light mode was changed to Flower & Fruit, increasing the red spectrum to support the final stage.

Arugula is the undisputed star of day 15. Its leaves are expanding vigorously, covering almost the entire tray with their intense, glossy green.

The radishes, on the other hand, are progressing at a different pace: except for one sprouting in the back right corner, the rest have lagged behind or simply haven't germinated.

The EC was increased to 1600 Β΅S/cm to meet the growing energy demands of the arugula.

The true leaves of the radishes are now unmistakable: rough texture, serrated edges.

The arugula continues to grow denser, taking up more and more space in the tray. The difference in height between the varieties is visible.

The EC was increased to 1000 Β΅S/cm to support this stage of higher nutritional demand.

The plants continue to grow larger each day, with bigger leaves and stems that are now able to support the weight of the foliage.

The big news today is below the tray: the roots have emerged from the pods and are beginning to explore the water. White and healthy, a very good sign that the plants are thriving.

The arugula is already forming dense clumps in several pods, with firmer stems and well-developed leaves. The radishes are continuing their more upright growth, with large cotyledons and the characteristic erect stem that distinguishes them.

There are still a few lagging pods, but most of the board is active and green. The light intensity has been adjusted to support this stage of increased demand.

The solution is currently at 700 EC, gradually increasing.

bring the light closer

The garden is already waking up! The arugula has started strong: several pods already have multiple seedlings with open cotyledons and a vibrant green color.

The radish is progressing a bit more slowly but is already appearing in most of the pods.

Today we gave it its first nutritional boost: a gentle dose of fertilizer to bring the solution to 600 ec, without rushing the roots that are just beginning to explore the water.

Hey everyone, wanted to share a quick update on a high-speed experiment I just finished. I decided to combine Arugula and Radishes because both are super fast growers.

For the arugula, I tried a little experiment: I used a knife to score the top of the sponges in a "#" pattern (two parallel and two perpendicular lines) and pressed multiple seeds into the slits. It worked incredibly well, and all 11 pods sprouted. For the radishes, I just went with one seed per pod.
