I love them all, Sher! What do you have the transplants in? Sphagnum moss, maybe?...

Coco coir. You don't get fungus gnats or soil pests in it.I got this mix at Walmart. It has added perlite to keep the coco coir from holding too much water.I have some of my houseplants in it. The coir has no nutrients in it, so I mix up a half gallon of AG nutrients and water the plants with it. They love it.If you try that, the coir doesn't have enough density to support top heavy plants unless you add some sterilized potting soil to it.

My impatiens all got some kind of fungus. All their leaves were covered with brown spots. Since it's very contagious, I had to terminate them.

I am going to grow Snaptinis and Coleus instead, this time.I will try the impatiens again later. Impatiens are my favorite flowers to grow in soil. They are usually trouble free and so happy looking!For now, I will just enjoy yours.

Sher , do you have a photo of the leaves, by any chance? I guess that one of the disadvantages of gardening in Florida is that there are lots of sort-of-tropical things around all the time, along with bugs to carry them.

No, Lynne, I don't have a photo. It was like all the leaves had soft brown age spots all over the bottoms of the leaves.Yes, the extreme heat and humidity make growing some things challenging here. Other plants think the greenhouse conditions are a perfect jungle environment. But I wouldn't have expected that to make a lot of difference in indoor plants. I imagine the spores are airborne from outside, and with my open floor plan, the living room, kitchen and dining room are all directly exposed to outside air when I open the front door.

I thinned out the multiples in the impatien pods today. I got 7 little transplants. I hope they make it!

They are up with some múltiples. I plan to move the extras to coco coir seed starting trays so I will have plenty for pots.

I am always nervous to remove and try to save extras. If I do I may break all, so I just snip.
