Day 142: Did a full R&R on the Orange Spice & Pumpkin Spice Pepper plants. Or should I call them trees!? They are huge with a root system to match. Last time, we did a cheater R&R, in that we didn't remove the deck/plants, so we didn't trim roots and fully rinse the bowl...so they needed it. While I had them in the kitchen, I took some time to prune back some leaves too. Allowing more airflow is always a good thing. Fresh water, new nutes and everyone seems happy.

Day 175: Ended the Pumpkin Spice and Nu Mex Orange pepper plants today. I harvested a good number of peppers, although many are still green. Need to have fewer gardens for the time being. NOTE: Pumpkin Spice gave a lot more peppers than the Orange.

How do the peppers taste when they ripen? Sweeter? Less hot? That pepper is gorgeous.

It is the first one to get to this point...so haven't tasted yet. I think it is supposed to turn orange, so I'm holding off a bit. I love the color, as it won't mess with the "red" of tomatoes so much, like the green ones do...in salsa.

Day 101: No pictures but I did some serious thinning of leaves on the 2 Jalapeno plants. I just looked for the larger leaves and pinched them off. The plants look thinned and I found a number of peppers in the process. Here's hoping!

I have to take my Farm deck apart next time. I have a hard time getting it apart. But it is most likely my RA as I never had a hard time prior.

I've found that starting around the corner with the fill hole is the easiest way for me. Once I get the clips nearest released, I can stick something in between the 2 deck parts and then continue on. But, nothing simple about it!

Thanks! I find it very handy. Gives me access to the bottom and support so I'm hands free to clean and trim, etc. And, keeps the drips contained moving from the Office to the Kitchen sink. If you know what I mean?

Hmmm, for some reason, both sides of the Farm XL say they are Day 29? Boy, that's a long day as I think they are in Day 44, like the Tomatoes in the Farm Basic?? Anyway, inspired by Mike's pepper picture, I just checked the 2 jalapenos and they both have itty bitty buds! Hard to get decent pictures...but here's something:Now to try to figure out what's up with the schedule?

Well, the screen on the AG Farm XL says the gardens are 45 days. It is just the app that is stuck at 29 days. But, the app is what I usually use to check dates. So, I'll need to not rely on that, I guess. I wonder what's up, but I'm not going to fret it.

Four things to try:(1) Check that your garden is connected to your wireless network, and linked to the app.(2) Check for an update to the AG app.(3) Reboot/restart the device where the app is installed.(4) Uninstall/reinstall the app.If the app is working fine for other gardens, then (1) is the likely source of the problem. I think that gardens can lose their link to the app, even though they are connected to a home network. The fix is just to redo the wireless connection.

Thanks again, lynnee! I unplugged the AG Farm XL, told it that it had a power outage, when it asked. Then reset the time, then asked the app to "sync" and it corrected everything without changing anything.

Day 52:The Roma is struggling. There are a few tomatoes, but the plant itself is sad looking! The peppers are coming along. Nice blooms starting to show up. Fingers crossed!

Day 29: I pulled the Bush Champion. It just wasn't flourishing and I think it may be detrimental to the Roma. The Roma looked like it was getting a touch of edema, so I checked PPM and added more nutes. Lots of blossoms but no sign of fruit, yet.

Day 32: Read out PPMs.The tomato side got AG Nutes (10ML) along with CalMag (2ML).Peppers read a lot higher, not surprising, I wasn't planning on adding Nutes and I didn't think the readout warranted it, but I did add CalMag (2ML).

Day 29: R&R done today. Roots trimmed, decks cleaned. Added AG nutes, Disease Control and Cal Mag. Oh, and I put up a trellis for Roma. Bush Champion is improving. She may make it!

Day 22:Bush Champion seems to have some issues. Some leaves that are turning limp. I trimmed them up. Inca Jewels looks great!

Pod buddies have been trimmed down and are now single plants to a pod. Nutes added, pumps tested. Everything looks good. Had to raise the lights on the tomato side.
