These are blooming very well now however I am only getting the one color.
The flower is pretty, but the bud reminds me of a cyclops! Mine aren't budding yet, but are growing.
I find that the flower itself is not a long lasting flower. Then again with the bursts of rain we have been having that can be part of the problem. The rain and wind blow the petals off.
I ended this project. One of the containers was deader then dead. The other while still had some that were alive was sparse. I dumped them out under a huge tree in the back. During the night, I saw deer enjoying them. This morning, nothing but dirt left behind.
OOO's and Aaaahhhh's! So pretty! Mine are not doing anything but looking fat and green..not a bud in site. How much do you water them? Do you keep the soil dry mostly? Maybe I overwater.
I have not touched them. I thought they were dying. Well some are but these stayed green. I let the rain water them. I iwll go out later to take a better look to see if they are actually buds or leaves. Why I say this is because there is a thin stem with the flower. I will get a close up of that. I wanted to yesterday but we had some nasty storms.
I may transplant mine as well in an outside pot. Found this today: "Livingstone Daisy - Grow in well-drained, preferably low-fertility, sandy soil in full sun.". In other words, they do not like water, love the scorching sun and don;t like to be fed. It is a 'leave me alone and I will grow' plant. Mine go outside today.
Mine are too. Damn shame. I was looking forward to these but I will replant with another flower I have in my stock.
These have been transplanted outside. I do not know how they will do but we shall see.
I just bought a pot for mine and they will be on the sun porch..more later if they survive the transplanting.
These are still a little stressed looking. I will give it a week and if nothing then... I will pull them. @cornne or anyone that may know, do you know of any seeds that can be planted now (flower wise) that will bloom thru the fall? If so please recommend as I will plant them in place of these if needed. If you do not know of any then I will just wait until spring again.

machine...lemon drop mariolds. Outside..any kind of classic marigolds..they go until it gets cold.
I will check out the Lemon Drops. But I will go order some marigolds for out. When you say classic, what do you mean? What should I be looking for (or not looking for) @cornne?
I have not had much luck with African or Vanilla Marigolds. Also, the Whopper from Park are fat and sturdy, BUT they are just beginning to be showy and I planted them early in the Spring! So tall is out. Park has some I have grown inside and out successfully: Any of the Janie and I loved the Fireball last year., parkseed.com/category.aspx?ss=&c=marigold&sb=&sd=&pgnum=1&filter= Also, Burpee has some that I would definitely try..the small head ones, though .www.burpee.com/search?q=marigold Like the Endurance or the Happy Days or the Boy O Boy mixes. I had some Marigolds planted in my garden bed last year and did not deadhead. The seeds fell of the plant and new marigolds came up for fall!! My Mother used to let the plants' flowers stay on the plant and then when they looked done , she would just pick off the heads and collect the seeds from the flower heads. One flower head will give hundreds of seeds for next year (or this year if replanted). Those people on Ebay make out really well saving their marigold seeds and sell it using a photo from a Company like Park or Burpee!
Thank you! I am not a fan of marigolds but some of those are nice. So I will order a couple of packs for my planters and as soon as they arrive will plant

this is encouraging. I planted mine 2 days ago, but nada yet.
They are slow. Took 9 days to see something I think. But once they do, you can see how they grow And in an Ultra they may grow faster.
I have a free machine and I am going to plant some tomorrow in an Ultra.! Inspiration.
YAY, another Iceplant
Gave nutes this morning. They are really picking up speed with their growth. I love the "icy" look of the leaves.
No picture today but these had a tiny growth spurt. Maybe because I have a fan oscillating in the room
That was speedy!
