Tall Utah Celery Failure from Root Mold

So I'm not going to do this one again- apparently, in order to get celery that actually tastes good, you have to wrap up or bury the stalks so that the chlorophyll leaves them. I could do this, but it's a lot of effort that I'm not feeling up for.The result of this grow is mildly interesting, if sad. I noticed that there were some brown leaves, but didn't really think anything of it until one day I came home from work and all the stalks had just fallen over. The water was full of foam, and when I pulled them out there was some sort of mold up in the roots. I suspect that is also what killed the first watermelon.Not sure where the contamination came from, but I definitely scrubbed the bowl out really, really well after pulling the plants.

I'm not sure if it something about my water specifically, but these are also suffering from low ph issues, just like my cucumbers do (apparently my blueberries are as well.) I'm going to try to keep up with the adjustments. If my experience with cucumbers is any indication, most of the yellowing should clear up once the plants have had a proper ph for a while. At least they are starting to grow larger.

I've finally gotten some new growth on these. The front one is looking a little on the yellow side for my taste, so I might have to do some research and change up their nutrient mix. The back one is looking great so maybe the plant has something else going on.

Variety: Burpee Tall Utah 52-70 ImprovedI have no idea if this will work, but going to try it. They seem to be doing alright, but thus far are slow growing. They will hopefully be sharing part of the deck with their neighbour, otherwise, I would have planted more of them.
