The oregano, parsley and basil are up now. I don't see any signs of life in the other pods yet. I am especially anxious for the sage to sprout. And it's time to do some thinning out today.

I did some reading recently that folks doing commercial hydroponics will choose to start sage via cuttings instead of seed. Sounds like seeds are kind of iffy for sage. Both in germination, speed of plant growth, and their general thriving.

Actions taken
PlantingStarted five Italian-herb positions plus a thyme pod in the Harvest 360.
Machine: Harvest 360 Seeds: Italian Herb Seed Mix (5 pods) Vendor: Seeds 'n Such Sponges: Park Seed + 1 Aerogarden Thyme Pod No nutrients to start All of these seeds (except the thyme) will outgrow the Harvest. I plan to move them to pots, then outdoors when the weather gets warm.

Have you done rosemary before? I just bought some rosemary seeds and was thinking I'd try planting in a harvest as well, but I've seen how big rosemary plants can get. And woody!

I normally grow it outdoors, and it does get huge. I am just starting these herbs in the Harvest. They will all get moved to pots, and eventually outdoors. No way do I have room for them indoors!

I often grow Rosemary. It is VERY slow. I have some starting now.

Shawn, how long does rosemary take to germinate? I have always bought starter plants before. BTW my rosemary cuttings did not take.

Usually mine have taken 21-30 days. But the one I just planted germinated fast.
