Q update:The female flower never bloomed But I did pluck the male flower and put it in a ziplock back in the fridge.On a more positive note, there appears to be a lot more possibilities ahead

I'll be curious to find out how well that works. I'm planing to freeze some of the pollen on my zucchini. My research suggests that that might work. We'll see.Good luck!

I could eat this type of squash at least twice a week. I am going to name him "Q."Q is 9 days old today and the poor baby was stuck down in the basket twirling under the label. I saw too much plant in there and rescued it this afternoon.I've got big plans for this little guy. So I'm going to let him rest up and get adjusted to being outside the basket.
