HarvestHarvested the bitter lettuce for sandwiches instead of salads.

S By Sher

This lettuce is pretty, but it's not my favorite. It's a little too bitter for me to enjoy as a salad. Instead I use it in sandwiches.

They look like they would be good in pita sandwiches...with some hummus and/or tzatziki, tomatoes, sandwich meat, presto a meal in a pocket!

So far, they are really cute. But I don't think the leaves will be very crisp. I have a fan going in that area, so maybe it will help a little.

PlantingPlanted red and green Salad Bowl lettuce after losing the romaine seed.

S By Sher

I thought I had already started a thread on my lettuce. I planted these because I lost my romaine seeds. I hope they will be sweet with a little crunch to them.
