Shawn, your gardens always look so nice, peaceful, clean...and productive!!

S
Shawn

Thank you. They would be cleaner if I were able to care for them the way I should. My peppers are a mess. One of the reason no pics. But I need to update that thread nad post a pic or two.

S
Sher

Your garden looks like an ad.

C
campingcorgis

Yes!!!! That's it!!! Perfect, like a prop or staged scene!

Yesterday I did some cleaning of the AG's. Not only were the decks cleaned and wiped I also ended the Garlic Chives. I have a ton here in the freezer and really do not need more at the moment. I will grow these again when needed. I also harvested the regular Cilantro. I will be using some and I froze the rest until I need it. Other then that I trimmed down the basil and oreganos. I MUST do the Thyme, it is a monster. The only thing holding me back is my fingers. The arthritis makes it harder to pluck the leaves. I do have a little thingamajig that is supposed to help with that but thyme stems are so delicate it does not work. I will get to this week I hope.

S
Shawn

All are ending today and tomorrow. I want to get the unit all cleaned up and start anew. Today I removed the Confetti Cilantro and Chives so far. All have been harvested and frozen.

C
campingcorgis

Oooo...can't wait to hear all about the new one!

S
Shawn

I have been so busy. But the Farm Basic is all cleaned and sanitized.

It is really lovely, Shawn!

Nice layout.

S
Sher

Such beautiful form and spacing!

S
Shawn

I got up on the step ladder as I needed to trim the basil and chives. While up there I moved the chives and cilantro around so they all have more breathing room. Later I want to trim a piece of the Confetti Cilantro and taste it. I will get a close up pic of it if I can.

S
Shawn

I pruned the tops and bushiness of the basil, oregano, thyme, chives and cilantro. Pleased it all in the freezer. I need to make some Salsa soon. I also gave Nutes and Mooch.

L
lynnee

What is Mooch, if I may ask?

S
Shawn

Mr Mucha stash. It's a calcium supplement we use in tomatoes and or peppers. Check out the nutrients and supplement board. I'm on my phone or I would post the link for you

L

Thanks Shawn, I found the discussion. Mr. Mucha Stash is no longer available on Amazon, unfortunately. I ordered some Cal-Mag Plus, which has mostly good reviews. We'll see whether it reduces the leaf curl on my peppers. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yay! They look great!

M

Looks really good. What are the hole covers you are using?

S
Shawn

they are upside down labels. Someone has a bunch of petunia labels and am using then upside down. I place a slit in them and reuse.

M
mike

Actually, I was referring to the black hole covers on the unused holes. Those aren't Aerogarden Hole Covers. AG calls them Plant Spacers. I call them hole covers because I used to buy hole covers for electrical boxes I picked up from Grainger until AG came out with their own. Prior to that, AG shipped Spacers that were grow baskets with a solid label stuck to them as a spacer.

Sounds like the perfect herb garden for going into the Fall season!

S
Sher

Looks like a wonderful selection!

S
Shawn

I would have planned more but I think that and my peppers will keep me (or Mark) busy. I will not be allowed to bend, lift or twist fur several weeks. Mark will become an addict soon ๐Ÿ˜

S
Sher

Watching Mark become an addict and start telling you how to do things will be hilarious. That's when you tell him, "Get your own dang Farm!"

S
Shawn

OMG, you got that right

C
campingcorgis

If you need it...I'm keeping a list of the best AG Sale prices, by unit.

S
Shawn

Nah, that's okay lol. I have plenty of harvests and bounties here if needed

S
Shawn

I looked today and I think everything is up. I will get some pics later.

S
Sher

Yay!

M
mike

Shawn, I hope that "Nasil" will help you breathe...

S
Shawn

OMG mike .. that is funny yes nasal helps me breathe LOL

S
Shawn

Nutes added! Everything is up. Still need to get a picture.
