HarvestHarvested all four radishes.

E By ERR0R1755

Harvested these today! There's some darker parts from where it "ate" bits of the sponge, but those are easy enough to cut off.I'll write up my summary once I try one of them.

Looking forward to your review, ERR0R1755.

Surprisingly, this was less spicy than other varieties I've grown (such as the Crimson Giant), but it also had a lack of flavor. This might have been due to my neglect of it. I ate one thin slice from each radish and did not taste any difference between them, and now I have the rest of the radishes thinly sliced and dehydrating. Here's my self-survey:Plant Grown: Japanese Wasabi RadishGrow Method: AeroGarden HarvestTime to Germinate: 3 daysTime to First Harvest: 56 days (since germination)Time to Last Harvest: 56 days (since germination)Plant Spacing: 4 per Harvest (67% usage)Final Height: 11 inchesNutrients Used: 18ml of AG nutesWould I grow these again? I don't think so. I might try it again and pay more attention to see if it turns out to have a better flavor, but as it is today, I would rather grow other radish varieties.Lessons Learned: N/A

Rats! I was hoping mine would have the very spicy sinus clearing effect of wasabi! Maybe I'll up the nutes and see if that helps! Thanks for the review, ERR0R1755.

Another great project even if it lacked the taste you were expecting.

Wonderful! How are you going to use them?

E
ERR0R1755

I'm going to try them as is first - if they're too strong for me, I'll slice them very thin, dehydrate them, and turn them into a powder - but otherwise I'll eat them raw, maybe slice them into smaller cubes, freeze them, and eat one from time to time.

Since I got mine planted, I was looking online for ways to use them. I may try making a small amount of "wasabi" paste using one finely grated radish. I may eat one raw, sliced in paper thin slices. And I will probably dehydrate slices from the rest. Assuming mine grow!

Update #7

E By ERR0R1755

I'm not too happy with how these are growing, they seem to be cracking more than other radishes and some of the leaves look bad. That may be my fault for neglecting them nutrient-wise, so I'll keep a closer eye on them.
