I am getting a bit annoyed with these. Tons of leaves and no flowers. I wrote to the company once again, asking how lomg does it take for the flowers to emerge. I really need to get my mother in the shed to pull out my pots but that takes me to one of the funny stories I will post later. It will be called "Tyson" LOL....
Ok so I finally heard back. Well I am not over nute-ing them. I have no idea what dwarf size is. So If they are correct then I MIGHT get at least ONE bloom before terminating for the GAL. I really need to open the shed doors so I can see where everything is. I think they will be ok to transplant IF I can grt my mother to get the stuff out, Better yet I will ask Mark this weekend,
Tomorrow this will be officially terminated.Leaves are yellowing, It was grown well above the hood and getting wilely.My request for the the potting mix has been ignored so these I will will not get transplanted.
I have seen these in a tall rain barrel arrangement in the neighborhood and they are quite leafy, yet VERY pretty! AG has a pod of these and it must be a certain dwarf variety they use.
Well that's too bad. Live and learn I guess. I was really hoping these would be amazing.
I may pick the AG pod up as I do like the flowers looks. But looking at the height on the package of these against the others you would THINK they were dwarf.EDITED: I looked and I did not see them, maybe they will come out with them again sometime
I’m sorry I missed the last few weeks of this thread. You must be so disappointed, and frustrated. Such anticipation! Oh well, maybe they don’t like AG nutes, and need a prod in the bloom direction from that 3 part series of nutes. But like you I only use the AG nutes.
Wow, it really did take off! The plants alone are so pretty, I'd be happy just with them!
I am waiting to see flowers. My mother wants to eat one 😕
These grew again and once again was drained of water. I still do not see any buds. I am going to have to get a picture od it to inspect further. There are 4 plants of the 6. I may reduce it to two. If there are no flowers in another week or so I may have my mother break out the containers in the shed and fill with the miracle grow stuff I have an transplant. If they live great if not oh well. It was a good run. I just can not see all these green lily like leaves with no flowers that are over taking the area with no wonderful colors. It is getting messy looking a little now. I actually trimmed some of the larger stems with NO buds on them as they were falling over and need support.Time will tell.
Bummer! Here's hoping they step up and bloom!
Woke up to a blue flashing light again. These drink up water like no tomorrow. Every morning the bowl is just about empty. Hoping they bloom soon!

Oh dear! Hah! Can’t help but laugh, as that’s what would happen to me. Worry not, though, as I’m sure that nasturtiums, of any variety, tend to travel. Can’t wait to see them!

I love those leaves too, they’re lovely. I had a bunch of orange nasturtiums planted along my driveway after admiring a friend’s because the foliage is so pretty even when not in bloom. (Probably not the same variety, but the leaves are the same shape.)
Another seeds seems to be trying to emerge. I also replaced a paper towel seed with a pod seed. So that leaves 2 more to come out (with the one I think I see makes 3).
Ok we have lift off on all 6. The other three have roots and the flower stems will be popping up in a couple of days by the look of them.

I tried to nick a few that I just put in paper towels and the shell when dry is hard as a rock, like a nut. I will try again when they soften. Question, do I seal the zipp bag or leave it open for air?
When I scarify or nick the hard nutlike seeds, I slit the sponge and sandwich the seed inside and put it in the basket.You can also put it in a paper towel and sealed baggie and then add it to the sponge after germination. A heat mat with an open baggie or low heating pad will help too. A sunny window is always good for warmth(if it ain't snowing LOL)I usually seal the bag, but if it is on top of heat I leave it open, checking every day to see if it is still damp.
I leave my bag open because I got mold or mildew. But even “open” it’s pretty much closed, so I sometimes flap it a bit to get some air in there, while also making sure the towel doesn’t dry out.
A third one is starting to come up now. Hopefully the other three will as well.

I am not seeing any life (not that I expected to I guess I just wanted to see if these large seeds would sprout) on top so for the heck of it I carefully looked in the pod and peeled back the sponge on one and there are roots coming out the bottom of these large seeds so I guess something IS happening.
It's hiding from you! It won't get away with it much longer.
Even if you don’t eat them, they are a really pretty garnish for your salads. And charcuterie platters, if you’re entertaining. Heck, I make a charcuterie platter just for myself to nosh on while watching a favorite movie.
Just checked the seeds. These have thick shells. Two of them have softened and have roots in the bottom of the seed and softening in the tops. The other 4 seeds are still softening and all look like they will begin to root soon. I was very careful as not to damage anything growing. While they say they are fast growers, they are slow to soften and germinate. Next time I check I should video it.
You should video! I'd love to see it.
To speed things up, you could even now take a utility knife and just nick off the corner of a seed that seems to be recalcitrant.
Good Idea. I may do that. I just need to figure out what side to nick it.
