Update #4

L By lynnee

Today (34 days, AG nutes only) the lettuce looks like it is about to explode! I'm thinking about harvesting it all, and starting some cilantro and other seeds.

That looks like a great mixed green salad, I'd have a hard time keeping my scissors off it.

Yesterday I harvested the lettuce, and put it in plastic bags in the fridge. Today I started a new Bounty garden with herbs, lettuce, one tomato, and some flowers. The regular AGs work better than the seed starter inserts for me.

Update #3

Hip hip hooray! I finally have a healthy Marvel of Four Seasons lettuce plant (left). The others are AG salad greens (center) and Baker Creek Merlot (right).

Update #2

Actions taken

FinishedRemoved the failed Rouge d'Hiver and Romaine pods.
PlantingInstalled another Romaine pod after the failures.

L By lynnee

The Rouge D'Hiver and Romaine from my old AG seed pod kits failed to germinate, so I swapped in another Romaine and removed the two failures. The Merlot from Rare Seeds (front row right) started two days late, but has nearly caught up with Marvel of Four Seasons (front row left) and Salad Greens (center back). I need to scrub the deck to remove those white deposits. They don't come off in the dishwasher.

I kinda gave up on the white spots. If they do not come off with a citric acid scrub then oh well. LOL

Update #1

Actions taken

PlantingAdded a pod of near-black Merlot lettuce to the garden.

L By lynnee

Along with my Black Beauty tomato seeds, Baker Creek sent a free packet of near-black red lettuce seeds. They're supposed to be good for cut-and-come-again harvesting, so I added a pod to the new lettuce garden.
