After the picture was taken I decided to to a dump, rinse and refill. Good thing I did. I had roots everywhere. They were in the water level thingamajig, in the pump and the filter was sucked up. I trimmed the roots, placed a new filter in and then added nutes and mooch. The plant and the machine are both now clean and happy.

This plant has given me SOOOOO many peppers and has many many more on the plant. I am going to pick all the green ones and see if they ripen if I leave them out. I am going to end this one even thou it can go on for a long time. We want to plant some hots. We have not had any for a while now. I will grow this one again in the spring and plant it outside. If it were not for the cold nights and crappy days now I would plant it outside bit it will not last .

HarvestRemoved batches of eight, seven, and eight peppers over several days.
I cut 8 off on Monday and Mark took to work for one of his guys. Yesterday I took off 7 and used them to fry in a meal. THis morning I removed 8 more. I have no clue what I will do with these yet. I have some errands to run and Mark will be home so I hope I find them when I return. There are still more ripe ones on the plant but think they can stay another day or two.

My thanks to chef Mark and the office co--workers who taste tested. Now that I know, I will definitely continue my project and look forward to some salads.I especially love the fact that there is no trace of heat.

HarvestPicked the first ripe orange Habanada.
Picked the first (of many to come) ripe Haba. It is a nice orange. In the picture the top does not look as orange due to the light source above. Mark will be tasting it later and I will give you his review.

TransplantTransferred the Sweet Heat plant to the Jalapeño garden without root damage.
I had to make a slight adjustment to my gardens. I needed to move the Sweet Heat from this machine and placed it in with the Jalapeno. The spread of my Haba is overshadowing the Sweets. The sweets was easily taken out and no harm what so ever done to any roots. Here is the Haba now.

While pollinating yesterday, a pepper fell off the Habas. We knew it was still "green" and not ripe but tasted it anyway. It had a nice pepper taste with no heat at all! Looking forward to these ripening. Also added Mooch this morning.

HarvestPicked the first ripe Sweet Heat pepper.
I picked my first Sweet Heat Pepper this morning. It is the largest Sweet Heat I think I have had. Measuring at 2-3/4" long. I have a feeling Mark will snack on it before I can use it LOL. Which is totally fine with me. He enjoys popping this gems.

The plants from a distance. Then you will see some a Sweet starting to change color at the tip. The third picture is of a couple Habas growing.

The Habanada has SOOOO many peppers but all hidden under the foliage. The sweets also have a lot hidden but the three poking out the top are changing colors.

My plant is in the SS6 and is spreading all over hte deck. There is a younger one in there, but I think I will have to remove that one. It is a big plant all of a sudden. You did say it would take off suddenly and you were right on the money, Shawn!

Help, I'm a little confused. I'm very interested in that sweet pepper for cooking. (I can't handle any kind of heat.) Which one is the sweet pepper and where did you get it? Only heat I tolerate is my VERY mild chili recipe. It's a tad sweet with brown sugar in it, BTW. Thanks,

The Sweet Heat pepper is a sweet pepper that has ta spicy heat. I can not say how spicy however. It is said to be about 500 scovilles I can not say. have never grown them. The full description is in the first post of this thread.

PruningTrimmed a small number of leaves rather than pruning heavily.
The sweets are exploding with peppers and flowers. I have been really good in not trimming the leaves. Yes I have trimmed a few but I am no way doing it like I usually do. The Haba has a lot of flowers growing now. If oyu look close in the center you can see a cluster of white on the Haba.

Habananda (L), Sweet Heat (R) I am refraining from trimming leaves. Only did the super huge ones from both. Tiny buds and flowers. No peppers YET Tons of flowers, buds and Peppers. Here are just a few hidden within the greenery

Just removed 4 huge leaves from the Sweet, no inner leaves but it is filled with flowers inside. I am doing my best not to. And I found a Pepper which I had no clue was there. Last but not least, here are the tiny bud of the haba

I just ordered some of these and will also be growing them. I like the description of the taste, being a sweet pepper lover. The hottest I can tolerate is Frank's sauce, and that is considered mild to most people. Your project has yet again inspired me to grow something other than flowers LOL!
