Jericho, Dragoon, and Little Gem Romaine Lettuce Harvest
Grow log by Shawn · Original thread
What you can learnA complete mixed-romaine diary with delayed germination, uneven growth, first harvest, regrowth, and a final quality decline.
Useful practices
- leaving a late pod in place to germinate
- moving the late pod for better access
- taking a large cut-and-come-again harvest
- discarding spotted leaves before cleaning
Problems encountered
- one Little Gem pod germinated late
- uneven growth
- black spots after neglect
*The days were calculated automatically and approximately.
I harvested everything but needed to throw some out as there were black spots starting. I am going to clean the unit and replant. I let all the lettuce go with what was happening with my precious pup. Then afterwards, I was too upset to worry about it. So now I will start afresh and adjust dates.

Differrent speeds is GOOD...for lettuce harvesting!
Ok, 2 weeks in and I FINALLY figured out why my lettuce is so slow. I forgot to plug the pump in. So the pump is now in and it should grow better.
Oh UR not alone..I have done that!
Update #2
Looks like the Dragoon is growing faster. Was that a David's Pelleted seed?

Lettuce is growing. Some are almost up to the labels.
All the lettuce has germinated except for one of the Little Gems. I will not replant. I will leave that spot open for easier water fills.
